AION Free-to-Play: language versions for Spain, Italy and Poland announced

Rollout end of July | Turkish version to follow in September | 4.0 microsite online

85794-160x600Karlsruhe, 27.06.2013 – Gameforge today announces that fantasy MMO AION will be available in three more language versions from the 31st of July 2013. The existing German, English and French versions will be joined by Spanish, Italian and Polish versions. In addition, a Turkish game client will be released in September.

Aside from fully localised audio, adapted websites and forums, individual country support as well as community management, there will be servers available in the corresponding native languages for the new language versions. So those preferring to experience adventures with fellow players in their mother tongue will find a suitable playing field here. However, the servers remain independent of the game client: those using the Italian client to read mission texts and displays in their native language, for example, can still continue playing on an English server.

“Our aim is to make AION available to all players cross-nationally- in the best possible quality for a best possible gaming experience. Thanks to the additional language versions, more players will have the opportunity to play AION in their own language in future and immerse themselves further into the world of Atreia”, said Volker Boenigk, Executive Product Director for AION at Gameforge.

4.0 is coming: microsite supplies further information

In preparation for the upcoming 4.0 expansion, which will be released in August, Gameforge is providing a new microsite with additional information about the update. This will be available in various languages and gives AION fans an insight into what they can look forward to this year with trailers, class and skill descriptions as well as upcoming overviews of regions and instances.

AION Free-to-Play: a growing and prospering game world

Since the launch of AION’s free version, over 2.7 million new accounts have been registered: currently over 3.5 million players are roaming the world of Atreia. Gameforge opened four additional game servers shortly after its release, to provide these players with plenty of space. Version 3.0, AION’s most extensive update yet, enhanced the game with new content such as housing, the weather system, new jobs and mounts. Update 3.5 focussed on additional content for high-level PvE and PvP players, while the current version 3.9 brought beginner and instance servers to Atreia.
